Lately, I keep getting myself in situations where I'm locked out. I was locked outside of my apartment, locked outside of my office, locked out from a person's heart, locked out from my own bedroom...just to name a few. I'm not an absent-minded person at all. In each of these instances, it happened by some freakish coincidence.
I walked out the main door to dispose trash just 3 steps to the right. A gush of wind. The door slammed shut just as I was 1 step away from stepping foot into home again. There were no open windows in my apartment. Where the hell did that draft come from?
I was the only person in my office. Went to the washroom to freshen up. Left the door open with a wedge stuck to it, so it won't shut on me. Came back. The door was closed. Turns out Mr. Security Guard thought everyone left for home. Seriously, who puts a wedge in, if they are leaving for home?
My bedroom door isn't self lock, but just my luck, the inner mechanism of the door knob decided to fail on me. So I couldn't get the door to open after shutting it.
And finally, the person who built a wall between me and him. I tried really hard but I'm tired now. Wouldn't it be nice to own a universal key to every kinds of lock that exist in this world.
